Demons of Mercy#1 WIP....

Here's another WIP, this time from Marvel & Maxum Games. This is one of the interior pages (inked about a month ago) penciled by Walter Geovani.

With this book I'm working over blue line (since Walter lives in Brazil) or should I say gray line. I don't like working over blue so I print any "blue line" type work in grayscale. I've found it's easier on the eyes and you don't miss any subtleties in the pencils.

BATMAN COVER WIP

It's been a while since my last post so I've decided to share a cover in progress.

Here I am working on an up coming cover for an issue of BATMAN penciled by Tony S. Daniel. I couldn't resist going straight to BATMAN, screw the side dishes for now. At this point I've pretty much used all nib. For spotting blacks I typically use a water brush (mostly just for filling in the larger areas) filled with ink. The upside to using water brushes are that you can work fast since you don't have bother with dipping and cleaning your brush (sorry I'm lazy folks). When I need to do more intricate work with a brush I use an Escoda #2 Kolinsky and my favorite brush Dragons Tongue #2.

Stay tuned more WIP's coming soon.......
